Caps and Gowns

The feelings of parents on Graduation Day

Students are seen to be wearing their respective graduation caps and gowns to attend their honorable graduation ceremonies, so as to receive prideful their graduation diplomas or degrees from the school's headmaster. Most of these students, having worn their caps and gowns to go on stage, will feel a sense of achievement and be proud of them for making this day come true. However, the moment they go up to the stage, parents are also present at the ceremony hall to witness the graduation ceremony. What are the feelings of these parents? How do they feel when they see their own kids going up to the stage to be awarded with the certificates?

Since the moment their kids were born, it has become the parents' duty to take good care of their own children. They have to ensure that their kids have enough food to eat, enough clothing to wear and they have to make sure that their kids are healthy and well. These duties that parents do for their own kids are indeed very respectful. Besides ensuring that their kids' needs are being well taken care of, they also have to make sure that their kids are able to have a good education, in order to have a bright future. From preschools to high schools to colleges and then finally to Universities, parents have been guiding their children along the way so that they are able to complete each and every stage of their lives.

When the big day has finally arrived, and when these parents see their children, wearing their caps and gowns, going up to the stage to receive the certificates, they know that by this time, their duties has almost completed in bringing up their children. Once the moment their kids' names are being called, their hearts would start to beat faster and adrenaline are rushing in through them because they are also very excited to see their children going on stage. Parents are also seen using their cameras to take pictures or videos of their children on stage, who are wearing their caps and gowns to receive the certificates. They take photographs and videos of their children so that this moment of glory and happiness can be captured forever. Some parents may even start to cry when they personally see their kids on stage, as they cannot believe with their own eyes that their kids have finally grown up and will soon be contributing to the society. This is the result of their efforts in taking good care of their children.

After the graduation ceremonies, some parents may take their children, who are still wearing their caps and gowns, to restaurants to enjoy sumptuous meals so as to celebrate and commemorate this important day. Some other parents may directly take their children on graduation holidays to reward them of successfully graduating from the schools. To both the graduates and the parents, this graduation day is certainly a day of happiness and joy for both parties.
